Scott Brandon, CBS

With the mind of an entrepreneur and a heart for innovation, Scott has maintained a leadership role in the business consulting and marketing arena in the Southeast and beyond for more than 25 years. As a highly sought-after strategist, business-minded visionary and speaker, he has helped develop and grow brands such as YETI Coolers, Southern Tide, CresCom Bank, Williams Knife Co. and Fish Hippie. Always on the forefront of technology, Scott is passionate for helping businesses reach their greatest potential.

Not content to stay on the sidelines, Scott has been actively involved in the volunteer community throughout his entire life, serving on the boards of such local civic organizations as the Myrtle Beach Haven, The Salvation Army and The American Heart Association, and an active member of the Myrtle Beach Community Church, Myrtle Beach Rotary Club, Horry County Schools Business Cabinet, and chairman of the Myrtle Beach Area Recovery Council (ARC), an organization responsible for driving and distributing information about the area after a disaster.

Scott received a bachelor of science degree in economics from Davidson College and a juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Although he practiced law in Myrtle Beach for several years immediately after graduation, his desire to work for the benefit of many rather than the benefit of one drove him to follow his father’s path into advertising.

Today, Scott utilizes his extensive education to the benefit his clients, but for the community as well, serving on a number of local boards for Crescent Bank of Myrtle Beach; Coastal Carolina University’s E. Craig Wall School of Business Administration Board of Visitors; and The Salvation Army of Horry County, in addition to launching other businesses such as Coastal Direct and Fuel Interactive – the most comprehensive interactive-only advertising agency in South Carolina.

Scott has also managed to strike a balance between work and his home life. Known throughout his Agency and the community as a devoted family man, he and his wife of 26 years, Lisa, remain deeply involved in the lives of their two sons Hunter and Haywood and daughter Haley. Scott understands the value of family and appreciates the time spent with his children. He also encourages his employees to do the same.

Andy Kovan, CBS

Andy has over 25 years of experience in growing businesses to their fullest potential.

As a successful business-minded professional and marketer, Andy has successfully developed, launched and grown such international brands as Costa Del Mar sunglasses and Toto bath products and has worked closely with other businesses such as Ryland Homes, Newland Communities, HTC, Mueller, Glory Foods, Margaret Holmes and Peanut Patch, capitalizing on just the right niche and recognizing growth opportunity in the market.

“Businesses are living, breathing entities,” says Andy. “I pull them apart and then reassemble it. I take where it is and determine where it could be. And then I’m not at ease until the business understands what business they are in vs. what they sell, operations become more efficient, a culture is created and adopted and sales increase as does the brand’s value."

As a guru on consumer behavior and business growth, Andy is responsible for business and strategic planning for clients and for orchestrating the process that determines the client’s market positioning and growth opportunities.

“Ideas that lead to growth are our currency. It’s what we sell,” says Andy. “Our clients’ success is dependent upon breaking through with powerful ideas that distinguish their businesses and make compelling arguments to their audiences. By making sure the spirit within the team promotes ideas above egos, agendas or anything else that might compromise greatness.”

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Andy graduated with a degree in public relations from Texas Tech University and furthered his education by earning a master’s in cultural sustainability through Goucher College’s Welch Center for Graduate and Professional Studies in Baltimore, Md. Andy has also earned a certification in Business Analytics from  the Wharton School. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, spending time in the woods and wetting a hook around Murrells Inlet.
